Shirataki Noodles: Virtually Calorie-Free, Keto-Compatible, Gluten-Free Konjac Noodles

Shirataki noodles are a Japanese food made from the konjac plant, known for its high glucomannan fiber content. This fiber makes them:

Virtually calorie-free: Glucomannan is easily digested by the body, resulting in minimal calorie absorption.
Keto-compatible: With negligible carbohydrates, shirataki noodles fit into a ketogenic diet.
Gluten-free: Naturally gluten-free, making them suitable for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity.
Shirataki noodles are thin, translucent, and have a gelatinous texture. Despite their low-calorie content, they can provide a satisfying feeling of fullness.

Popularly known as konjac noodles or miracle noodles, they have gained recognition for their health benefits and are gaining popularity worldwide.

How to Cook Shirataki Noodles:

- Drain the water in a colander and rinse under running tap water thoroughly

- Boil in water for 1-3 minutes, drain and take out excess water with an absorbent paper towel

- Pan fry with your sauce or let simmer with soups

Enjoy!

Other cooking ideas:

- Make it more pasta-like by draining and dry-roasting

- Use them in a stir-fry

- Mix with other ingredients like meat, vegetables, and cheese.

almost zero calorie versatile noodle
I liked the texture of the noodle (chewy) and it has no after-taste or extra taste. Preparation is also very easy.

Excellent carb-free replacement
Works perfectly for replacing rice noodles in recipes! Easy to prepare and much cheaper than the imported brands. Also tastes better and has a better texture.

Great low carb substitute for noodles
Tastes good when mixed with your choice of sauce, you can hardly tell the difference from real cellophane noodles. Best for stir frying and noodle soups. However, one pack is only good for one serving for one person.
